Congratulations to Kathryn Atherton on the successful completion of her DPhil. Kat was jointly supervised by Kia Nobre and Chris Butler (NDCN). Her doctoral research investigated the putative role of sleep in mediating memory deficits in individuals with Accelerated Long-Term Forgetting. Kat has joined Heidi Johansen-Berg’s group at Oxford’s FMRIB, where she will be investigating exercise-based neural plasticity in children.

Congratulations also to David Menassa for successfully completing his DPhil, the title of which is ‘Magnetoencephalography and neuropathological studies of autism spectrum disorders and the comorbidity with epilepsy’. David’s DPhil in Clinical Neurology was supervised by Steven Chance and Sven Braeutigam.
