Major funding for ageing and dementia research

Kia Nobre joins colleagues from the Translational Research Collaboration in Dementia (TRC-D) and industrial and charity partners in leading a feasibility study funded by the NIHR and MRC. The study is headed by Professor Simon Lovestone and will be integrated with the UK Dementia Platform. The aim is to establish the operational practicability of deep and frequent phenotyping of participants across multiple UK sites, with a view to identifying both stratification markers and markers of change in pre-clinical or very early disease that could be used in experimental medicine. OHBA will provide an important hub for developing and testing electrophysiological markers.
