Sana Suri has received an Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘Dementia Research Leaders’ award, which recognizes the contribution and impact of early and mid-career researchers to dementia research.
She was awarded the 2017 runner-up prize for the ‘Rising Star in Dementia Research’ award, which identifies researchers who have already made progress in dementia research at the start of their career, and have the potential to contribute much more to the field in the future.
The judges were very impressed with the technical aspects of Sana’s work, her publication record and her ability to communicate with a wider audience. The awards were presented at the Gala dinner at the Alzheimer's Society annual conference on 18 May 2017. Sana received £500 bursary to be used towards career development.
